DHL Extends Partership With Los Angeles Dodgers


New Agreement Builds Upon Existing Programs between DHL and the Dodgers

DHL, the world’s leading global express delivery and logistics company, has entered a new multi-year agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers, celebrating its 50th anniversary this season, to continue as the team¿s Official Express Delivery and Logistics Provider through the 2010 baseball season.

Under the agreement, DHL remains the exclusive provider of domestic and international shipping services for the team. The deal provides for extensive branding and promotional opportunities including DHL in-stadium signage in the Dodgers’ and visitor’s bullpens; DHL courier delivery to a lucky fan in the stands at six home games throughout the season; a DHL promotional night complete with a co-branded DHL/Dodgers key chain fan giveaway and the ceremonial first pitch at the Dodgers game on June 6, 2008; and additional in-stadium hospitality and event access opportunities for DHL employees and customers.

DHL has more than 1,200 employees across Los Angeles and the surrounding area, including more than 450 employees at its air and ground hub at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, California. DHL’s sponsorship alliance with the Dodgers provides opportunities to recognize and reward local employees for outstanding performance and demonstrated commitment to customer service throughout the year.
