Platinum One Destinations (P1D) Explained By Travel Expert

Platinum One Destinations (P1D) can be very confusing for people looking to start their own home based travel business. Platinum One Destinations (P1D) travel memberships cost as little as $1500 and as much as $15,000, but all the travel memberships sold by Platinum One Destinations (P1D) are exactly the same. Los Angeles based independent travel agent and home based travel business expert Dean Marino has now stepped forward to clear up the confusion.

Marino has talked with lots of people confused by the introduction of Platinum One Destinations (P1D) by the former Coastal Synergy Group. Even members of Platinum One Destinations (P1D) are unclear about what they got themselves into when they agreed to start their own Platinum One Destinations (P1D) home based travel business.

According to Marino, “The problem is that lots of people who start home based travel businesses with Platinum One Destinations (P1D), Global Resorts Network (GRN), Coastal Vacations and others have very limited knowledge of the travel industry. They’re attracted by huge growth in travel and tourism. People have made millions of dollars. It can be very lucrative or it can be a money pit.”

Platinum One Destination (P1D) is the latest entry into the home based travel business arena. Members of Platinum One Destinations (P1D) purchase memberships that offer discounted travel. The Platinum One Destinations (P1D) membership is sold at 3 different price points. All platinum One Destinations (P1D) memberships are exactly the same, but members who pay more money are rewarded with points.

Marino explained, “It’s unclear what the points are worth. Members cannot use the points to purchase vacations, but supposedly they can get some addition discounts on their travel. Since those who pay $15,000 get 15,000 points, some people think the points are valued at $1 each, but that’s not the case. At one time I had over 500,000 frequent flyer miles in one of my accounts, but they were not worth half a million dollars.”

The newness of Platinum One Destinations (P1D) has attracted attention from the home based business industry. Marino points out that newness is not necessarily a good thing. Over 90% of new home based business companies don’t survive for more than one year.

Marino pointed out that Platinum One Destinations (P1D) has to overcome several challenges to survive. They don’t provide the diversity offered by over 70 vendors with Coastal Vacations and the company providing their customer service is not considered as prestigious when compared to rival Global Resorts Network (GRN). Thus, Platinum One Destinations does not standout when compared to their key competitors.

Most Platinum One Destinations (P1D) travel services are provided by Access Development of Salt Lake City Utah. The Access name may sound familiar to Coastal Vacations members since they also provide some services in the Coastal Vacations discount travel membership program. While Platinum One Destinations (P1D) may try to say they offer an exclusive program, Access Development actually provides the same services under the Access name and on a private label basis to banks, credit unions, employee organizations, alumni associations and many others

Technically, anyone can cut a deal with Access Development and immediately undercut Platinum One Destinations (P1D) pricing with a similar membership. After all, the Platinum One Destinations (P1D) program was inspired by Coastal Vacations who also uses Access. With over 70 other vendors, Coastal Vacations offers much more than just the services of Access Development and they have been around for over 14 years as a top rated home based business.

In their second year of operation Global Resorts Network (GRN) is proving to the home based business community that they are here to stay. Unlike Platinum One Destinations (P1D), Global Resorts Network (GRN) has secured exclusive rights to market what Marino says is one of the most prestigious upscale travel membership programs. Members of Global Resorts Network (GRN) can’t advertise the travel membership company’s name because resorts around the world sell the memberships for much more than Global Resorts Network (GRN).

Marino explained that many of the home based business owners selling Platinum One Destinations (P1D), Global Resorts Network (GRN), and Coastal Vacations travel memberships don’t actually use them. They have very limited knowledge of the products, and don’t really understand the travel industry. Unlike others in the home based business arena, Marino is an independent travel agent and has logged over one million miles with U S Airways alone. He is also an elite Diamond member in the Hilton Honors program and was invited by Avis to help launch their new Avis First elite level program last year.
