Harris Corporation Announces Finance Plan For MPH In-Band Mobile DTV Equipment Purchasing

Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, announces the availability of financing to U.S. ATSC broadcasters planning to launch MPH™ in-band mobile DTV services. This attractive new financing package is part of the Harris Finance program options available through the company’s alliance with National City Media Finance, a division of National City Commercial Capital Company, LLC (NC4).

Consistent with the broadcast industry’s urgent desire to launch mobile DTV services, the new MPH™ financing program supports deployment-ready broadcast equipment from Harris Corporation and the field-test-proven system co-developed with LG Electronics and Zenith. MPH in-band mobile allows broadcasters to use existing bandwidth to deliver MPH mobile DTV channels to consumers alongside DTV and HDTV programming. The end-to-end MPH solution effectively delivers a new business platform to enable broadcasters to easily launch mobile TV channels within their existing over-the-air ATSC transport stream.
