Traveler’s Prayer Donates 5,000 Prayer Boxes To American Servicemen and Servicewomen Being Deployed Overseas

High Falls, NY, April 9, 2008. Traveler’s Prayer spokesperson J.I. Kappel said the Hudson Valley company donated its first 5,000 prayer boxes to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, for distribution to American service men and women being deployed overseas. The VFW operates many programs to benefit the nation’s armed forces, including the Military Assistance Program, which provides a variety of services for military personnel and their families returning from and leaving for overseas duty.

Ms. Crystal Lauver, Assistant Director of the VFW Military Assistance Program, said, “We are very pleased to be part of the initial launch of this product. Regardless of religious background, Americans support and appreciate the effort of all our service members, so the donation of the Traveler’s Prayer is a wonderful gesture. We will distribute this first donation with nondenominational prayers, to be appropriate for all, to our locations where meetings are conducted and make them available to our attendees.”

Traveler’s Prayer, a specialty gift company, introduced its new line in late 2007. This first series of designer amulets and charms contain travel-related prayers, all of which are printed in the Holy Land. The three designs in the initial line feature birds in free flight, laser etched on the solid brass model and etched with gold leaf on the two resin models. All designs are similarly sized at 2.5” by .5” and are light, durable, come with a velour pouch for carrying in a pocket, purse, backpack or attaché, and available as a keychain.
