Avinity Systems invites Cable Operators to experience its “Web-to-TV” platform at the Cable Congress 2008

Ronald Brockmann, CEO of Avinity Systems, will present a lecture on new business opportunities for cable operators and content providers, “Internet Meets Cable TV”, during the upcoming Cable Congress 2008 in Madrid.

With increasing competition, both operators and content providers are in search of new models for differentiating themselves and for generating new business. One of these models is the creation of applications with a TV 2.0 experience by bringing attractive internet content to the TV, in a cost effective and flexible manner. During the lecture, Ronald Brockmann will explain how content providers and operator clients are using the RenderCast technology and have started introducing new services addressing these so far untapped business opportunities.

In the exhibition area, Avinity Systems will demonstrate the latest version of RenderCast for easily bringing Web content (e.g. User Generated Content) to existing digital TV Set-Top Boxes in the network of cable operators. Avinity’s RenderCast runs all TV applications in the network and streams standard MPEG to the home, resolving the existing problem of fragmentation in the Digital TV market.

The Cable Congress 2008 is taking place at the IFEMA Feria de Madrid from the 23rd April until the 25th April 2008. The lecture will take place on Thursday 24th April at 15.30 hrs in the “Theatre” room.
The demonstration will take place at booth 10E in the exhibition area.
