WEBWIRE

LONDON.– Accenture has been named a leader in an independent evaluation of the Oracle implementation market by Forrester, a leading independent research firm. “The ForresterTM Wave: Oracle Implementation Providers, Q1 2008” is an assessment of 13 systems integrators across 107 criteria.

Accenture received the highest score for each of the three high-level overall evaluation ‘sectors’, namely ‘current offering’, ‘strategy’ and ‘market presence’, as well as the highest number of top scores and joint top scores across the evaluation criteria in these three sectors. These included global presence, overall vision and discrete product capabilities.

The report states: “Accenture leads in overall capability and dominates in terms of practice size. Accenture stands out from the pack with strong skills across all phases of the implementation life cycle, strong worldwide presence, and continued aggressive practice R&D and growth.”

Forrester examined each company based on a series of criteria. These covered end-to-end implementation services including process and strategy consulting, low cost technical implementation work, and post-implementation services like training and knowledge transfer. Each provider’s mix of capability across Oracle products was also studied.

Forrester noted that Accenture has strong overall end-to-end implementation capabilities as well as industry breadth and depth. The report refers to Accenture as a “global giant in the Oracle implementation space.” It stated: “Accenture is well suited to the world’s largest multinational Oracle rollouts and capable in all phases of the implementation life cycle.”

Other criteria for the report included thought leadership and presence in the Oracle implementation services market based on the number of projects, services revenues, and the number of employees dedicated to Oracle implementation services.

“Accenture’s fundamental focus is high performance, and I believe our ability to help clients achieve business value with Oracle solution is unmatched in the industry,” said Jim Hayes, managing director of Accenture’s Oracle business. “This recognition from Forrester underlines the commitment our people have to successfully deliver large-scale, complex, transformation projects to our clients.”
