GENBAND will showcase some of the latest advances in media gateways, supporting both today’s voice and data services and tomorrow’s IMS and FMC applications. The company announced last week that the G9 Converged Media Gateway™ has been enhanced with innovative packet-to-packet mobile access gateway capabilities. This Packet Access Gateway for the G9 addresses the growing demand for packet-specific technologies in femtocell deployments, allowing service providers to bring better and faster network coverage to mobile consumers at home and at work.



GENBAND will also demonstrate innovative multimedia services delivered from the award winning M6 Communication Applications Server™. The new MultiMedia Assistant feature of the M6 provides users with a simple, user-friendly client interface to access a wide range of phone features and advanced multimedia services, including instant messaging and presence for phone and instant messaging status, desktop/application sharing, video calling, conferencing floor control, call control, voice mail, directories, call logs and more.



Also showcased in the booth will be GENBAND’s M5 Multimedia Applications Server™. The M5’s GenZen client-server solution allows mobile users to extend their desktop interaction experience to their mobile phones by accessing their favorite social communities from one easy-to-use mobile client.
