Avnet Technology Solutions Appoints Janos Kurel as Regional Vice President of Sales

Prague -- Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of global technology distributor Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced the appointment of Janos Kurel as Vice President of Sales for the CEMAAS region (Central Europe, Middle East, Africa, Austria and Switzerland). Kurel will have commercial responsibility for Avnet Technology Solutions in seven countries of the region: Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Switzerland.

Kurel previously led Avnet Partner Solutions in EMEA, serving as general manager Avnet Eastern Europe and was responsible for managing operations in Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic. Kurel joined Avnet in 1998 after having served IBM in Central and Eastern Europe in a variety of management roles. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Electrotechnics in Zagreb.
