Fantasy Photographer Dirk Hooper to Display Work at the 16th Annual Biting the Apple Art Exhibition

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – March 30, 2007 – The erotic photography of Dirk Hooper will be included among the works of over 40 artists at the Individual Artists of Oklahoma Annual Biting the Apple Juried Exhibition. Opening night is Friday April 11th at 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the IAO Gallery Space on Historic Automobile Alley. The following night, Saturday, April 12th, will be a Fetish Ball also starting at 7p.m. The Biting the Apple Exhibition is one of Oklahoma’s only recurring erotic art showcases and is a fundraising event for the IAO Gallery.

The work from Dirk Hooper features Toxic Goddess Dame Lebeau and Toxic Goddess Selkie, both of which will be in attendance opening night. The pieces feature the makeup artistry of Jennifer Marks. “Let’s be honest, the IAO puts on a one-of-a-kind show every year,” Hooper says, “This event is a prime opportunity to show my work to the right crowd and have a lot of fun in the process.”

The show will run from April 11th through April 25th at the IAO Gallery Space, located at 811 North Broadway in downtown Oklahoma City. Dirk Hooper is a world renowned photographer, fine artist, graphic designer and writer whose work has been described as “forbidden tales to rival the likes of H.P. Lovecraft and the Marquis de Sade.” Dirk’s publishing credits include such diverse media as comic books, music CDs and slick fetish magazines. Jennifer Marks has cultivated a career as a vanguard makeup artist by working with world renowned fetish fantasy photographer Dirk Hooper and fine arts photographer Robert Henry. Her work is evocative and groundbreaking while still displaying classic foundational elements.
