SUWANEE, Ga. – March 2008 – Due to increased demand for split-ductless air-conditioning products in Mexico, Bermuda, Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has recently hired a new sales engineer to promote CITY MULTI® Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning (VRFZ) technology.

With over 10 years in the HVAC industry, Marilda Herrera joins Mitsubishi Electric HVAC as the international zone sales engineer. In her position, Herrera assists distributors with sales and application design. According to Reynaldo Benzor, international zone manager, Herrera makes site visits to projects in the Latin American regions to assist engineers and work with them on applying CITY MULTI technology. In April, Herrera will travel to Hermosillo Sonora, Mexico to lead a CITY MULTI training seminar for a new Mitsubishi Electric HVAC distributor. A graduate of the Florida International University of Miami, Miami, Fla., Herrera has a bachelor of science in civil engineering.

The international zone covers sales of CITY MULTI VRFZ and Mr. Slim® products in Bermuda, Mexico, Central America, South America (north of Brazil) and the Caribbean Islands. The zone also employs an inside sales representative and an international sales administrator.

“With the increase in commercial development in our international zone, we have an opportunity to educate developers and engineers about the benefits of CITY MULTI VRFZ technology,” says Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. “By expanding the international zone’s sales force, we hope to reach these professionals and continue the influx of CITY MULTI systems in those areas.”

CITY MULTI VRFZ technology offers the ultimate in freedom and flexibility by ensuring total comfort for all occupants of any type of building. A variety of outdoor units, indoor units and controllers are available. With CITY MULTI VRFZ systems, the temperature in each zone is precisely controlled while operating at optimum energy-saving levels. All CITY MULTI VRFZ systems use environmentally-friendly R410A refrigerant and can be managed through the CITY MULTI Controls Network (CMCN).
