Sorrento Networks Announces New Executive Team Members

Company Adds VP of Development, VP of Global Services and Support, and Director of Operations

DENVER — March 26, 2008 — Sorrento Networks, a global provider of metro optical access solutions, is expanding its executive leadership team with three key management hires. The company has appointed Chris Garcia as vice president of development, Ralph Tavino as vice president of global services and support, and Andy Williams as director of operations.

As vice president of development, Garcia now oversees the design and engineering teams for the company’s flagship GigaMux optical transport platforms. Prior to joining Sorrento, he held management positions with Zhone Technologies, Lucent Technologies and Ascend Communications.

In the vice president of services and support role, Tavino leads the company’s worldwide customer satisfaction initiatives. He boasts more than 25 years of experience working within customer support organizations and joins Sorrento Networks from Carrier Access, a provider of consolidated access technology.

Williams, in the director of operations position, will be responsible for the company’s end-to-end manufacturing processes and all manufacturing facilities. Williams previously served as the senior operations manager of optical products for Zhone Technologies.
