Microsoft Becomes Latest Licensee of Flash Technology for Mobile Handsets

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) today announced that more than 500 million mobile devices shipped with Adobe® Flash® Lite™ software to date. Flash Lite, Adobe’s award-winning Flash Player runtime specifically designed for mobile devices, has seen over 150 percent growth over the last year and is now delivered on mobile phones and devices from all major handset manufacturers worldwide. Adobe also announced that Microsoft today became the latest company to license Flash Lite, for use in Microsoft Windows Mobile phones (see separate press release).

New devices like the Nokia N95, the Nokia N96, the Sony Ericsson C-Series, the NTT DoCoMo’s 905i series, and the Sony Mylo support Flash Lite 3, the latest version of the software.
