Data analysis experts in high demand among SAS customers

The SAS Student Network is partnering with icrunchdata, a fast growing technology and data job site, to link the demand for analytical talent and SAS skills with the supply. Graduates with analytical skills, especially at the entry level, are increasingly needed as companies invest in technology to analyze growing stores of data to make better business decisions.

“This partnership will ensure that our corporate customers have access to the SAS expertise they need – at all skill levels – to support their investments in our software solutions” said SAS Education Practice General Manager Kathy Lee.

Currently, icrunchdata serves more than 200 employers from industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, retail and telecommunications, all searching for SAS talent. More than 60,000 active job seekers use icrunchdata to find opportunities.

“We expect ‘matchmaking’ to really pick up as a result of the partnership,” said Lee.

The site offers job postings, publication and training discounts, and articles on how students, faculty, schools and companies are using SAS to succeed in business and research.

“icrunchdata is proud to partner with SAS to host the SAS Job Network,” said icrunchdata Managing Partner and Co-founder Todd Nevins. “This partnership expands our reach into the SAS market to provide our clients the most efficient and comprehensive online recruiting tool to find SAS talent.”

The SAS Student Network supports students and graduates with SAS skills in sharing knowledge and locating opportunities inside and outside of SAS. It is part of the SAS Academic Program, which helps colleges and universities worldwide increase the number of SAS experts by incorporating SAS into teaching, learning and research.

As part of that effort, more than 60 students will attend next week’s SAS Global Forum in San Antonio, where they will have the opportunity to network with more than 3,000 SAS users.

With more than 2,000 college, university and business-school customers in 109 countries and education specialists on every continent, SAS serves the education industry by delivering software solutions, strategic services and academic programs that spark innovation and expand educational opportunities.
