Sam’s Club Expands Winterville Location To Include Pharmacy

Club welcomes members and guests to re-grand opening celebration

BENTONVILLE, Ark., March 2008 –Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., with 22 clubs in North Carolina will celebrate the re-grand opening of its facility at 4240 NE Highway 11 South after an expansion to include a pharmacy.

An exclusive business appreciation event is scheduled for 7 a.m., Thursday, March 20. Grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m., during which eight local charities and community organizations will receive grants totaling $18,000.

Sam’s Club welcomes Pharmacy Manager Kevin Pandya, Pharm. D. and Staff Pharmacist Carol Neubert, RPh who will be on hand to speak with residents and existing members about their medications or health and wellness needs. The area will stock an assortment of $4 generics and offer exceptional values on branded prescriptions. Residents are encouraged to bring in any medications and Sam’s Club will beat the current price from another provider. Membership is not required to use a Sam’s Club pharmacy.

"We are really pleased to have the new pharmacy and to have both Kevin Pandya and Carol Nebert,” said Jaimme Gaff, Club manager. “As well, we are happy to update and refresh the entire club to enhance the shopping experience and better serve our members.”

• Outside, a new Sam’s Club logo graces the entry as part of an effort to refresh and update branding.
• The bakery and café areas have been updated, relocated and will reopen following the ceremony on March 20.

Sam’s Club offers a variety of services through its third party providers, including health insurance, merchant credit card processing solutions and Web site development. In addition, the warehouse Club encourages business members to take advantage of Gold Key hours weekdays from 7 – 10 a.m. as well as Fax-n-Pullsm and Click-n-Pull® services which save time.

Both Business and Advantage Members can save even more on club services and purchases with a Plus Membership earning up to two percent cash back by using a Sam’s Club Discover card.

Regular Club hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gold Key Hours for business members are 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
