MRPRO to be exhibited at GlobalChem 2008

San Jose, CA, March 7, ‘08- Papros Inc. will be exhibiting its best of the breed software for supply chain Product Environmental Lifecycle Management at the upcoming GlobalChem 2008 show in Baltimore, March 17-19. The next show the products will be exhibited is at the IPC Printed Circuits Expo, APEX and Designers Summit in Las Vegas, during April 1-3, 2008. Papros Inc. offers an unique suite of products to support a whole series of product, part and raw material information collection, maintenance and use in a highly automated manner. The products support both list based and risk based approaches for chemical management in products, and also enable a greener footprint at the enterprise level. This done by enabling companies to track not only material composition, but also environmental footprint information such as wastes created, or air emissions including greenhouse gases during the entire lifecycle from raw material to end of life. Each footprint parameter is assigned a code. Thus various exposure routes for different use scenarios for the same substance can be offered unique codes. This data lends itself to commonly accepted risk evaluation modeling. Great flexibility is thus offered in the range of types of data that can be handled and modeling approaches possible.

Major products that will be exhibited include MRPRO, EMSPRO and FEPRO. EMSPRO enables the complete calculation of product and facility environmental footprints and has been on the market for more than ten years and sold internationally. Enterprise level greenhouse gas footprint calculation is included.

Papros Inc.’s flagship product for supporting Design for the Environment is MRPRO. A very easy-to-use program, MRPRO supports Design for the Environment by easily exchanging product footprint, obsolescence information and due diligence communications in the realm of Montebello agreement, REACH, RoHS, RoHS-like (China, Korea), JMOSS, WEEE, EuP, AB 32 and other emerging regulations. MRPRO enables compliance by full support for data conforming to EIA, JEDEC, JIG (supports the latest JIG-101A), IPC and other emerging cross industry standards such as F-40 (ASTM) or a standard from SAE. Its spreadsheet interface enables easy conversion from the multitudes of spreadsheet formats for the exchange of product or part data including new ones emerging for REACH. MRPRO incorporates a full array of functions including aggregation, maximum rollups, use tracking, BOM scrubs, read-ins from test data or one hundred percent disclosures, direct importation and write-outs of hundreds of product/part files in standards based formats in a single batch and many other useful functions.

The platform description for MRPRO can best be termed as this- the main engine is based on hybrid Web 3.0 technology using a spreadsheet interface (“web is the database and the spreadsheet its interface”), and the any-user web client is based on Web 2.0 AJAX technology.

Papros Inc.’s products offer robust performance, scalability and efficiency for tracking green chemistry in products.
