Carrier Corp. Acquires Georgia Chiller

Carrier Corp. has acquired Georgia Chiller Services, Inc., a Forest Park, Ga.-based HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) contractor specializing in the service and repair of commercial applied equipment, including cooling towers. Georgia Chiller will operate under the Carrier Commercial Service brand effective immediately. Carrier Corp. is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Georgia Chiller, which was incorporated in 1996 and has 14 employees, provides HVAC service in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area to a wide variety of commercial customers, including manufacturers, universities, hospitals, and property management firms.

The acquisition was completed on Feb. 12. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Carrier Commercial Service provides maintenance, repair and replacement services for HVAC systems; building controls; and energy management services and solutions products from more than 100 locations in the United States and Canada.
