INTSPEI Sponsors CEE Student Article Contest
February 22, 2008, Kiev – New York – International Software & Productivity Engineering Institute (INTSPEI) announces its sponsorship of the CEE contest for students’ technical articles organized by UML2.ru. The contest will continue until April 5, 2008.
Contest participants should submit a technology review, report, or scientific article to the contest. The choice of article topics is quite wide: modeling and design methodologies and techniques, usage of UML and other modeling languages, etc. All the articles will be reviewed and assessed by the Community of Analysts in Russia (CAR), who will select the winners. The best articles will be published in Russian editions of the leading software magazines, such as “Microsoft Architects Journal”, “TechNET Magazine”, “MSDN Magazine”, etc.
“There are not so many institutions in Russia and CEE where students can deeply study software analysis and design,” said Alexander Baikin, contest organizer and founder of CAR. “That’s why we are going to encourage students to study these disciplines on their own - it will help us to bring Russian software engineers up to the highest world standards.”
“INTSPEI chose to support the CEE students’ contest of articles to motivate students to contribute to computer science research,” said Dr. Anatoliy Doroshenko, INTSPEI Research Director. “Participation in this contest is the perfect way for students to learn modern technologies, new design approaches, and modeling languages. Also, this is a good way for them to learn how to organize thoughts and structure information.”
