Aetna Behavioral Health Offers Support In Response To Northern Illinois University Shootings


In response to the tragic shootings at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. on February 14, Aetna (NYSE: ΑET) has encouraged anyone in need of support to call its Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at 1-888-AETNA-EAP (1-888-238-6232). Aetna’s EAP professionals have experience dealing with traumatic events and the ability to recommend resources that can help address any concerns whether or not the caller is enrolled in an Aetna employee assistance program.

“We have been saddened by the tragic events that took place at Northern Illinois University and continue to send our heartfelt sympathy and thoughts to the victims’ families and friends and the University’s students and staff,” said Louise Murphy, president of Aetna Behavioral Health. “Our clinical team works with callers to help them access their available medical coverage, community resources or our own resources to address their needs arising out of this tragedy.”
