Susi Air Orders Six Cessna Grand Caravan Aircraft

Singapore. – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, has received an order for six Model 208B Grand Caravan turboprop aircraft from Susi Air of Indonesia. Cessna is featuring one of the airline’s aircraft in its static aircraft display this week at the Singapore Airshow.

The six Model 208Bs will deliver in 2009 and 2010. Susi currently operates eight Grand Caravans and has two more delivering in the first quarter of this year.

Susi Air transported more than 30,000 scheduled passengers on four routes with two aircraft in 2007 from its Medan base. The company plans for 100,000 passengers in 2008.

The remainder of Susi Air’s fleet carries cargo in remote provinces of Indonesia, and one VIP-equipped aircraft is based in Jakarta for charter.

Cessna will hold a signing ceremony with Susi Air on Wednesday during the show. Owner Susi Pudjiastuti and chief pilot Christian Strombeck will represent Susi Air at the signing ceremony.
