$107 Million to be distributed in February

BENTONVILLE, ARK., February, 2008 –Sam’s Club Discover® cardholders will soon receive a welcome surprise in their mailboxes in the form of reward checks totaling $107 million scheduled to arrive during the month of February.

This is the third year that the reward checks have been issued as part of a program to help extend the benefits of a Sam’s Club Membership and Sam’s Club Discover beyond Sam’s Club locations. Sam’s Club Plus Members earn up to two percent savings in cash back on every purchase made with Sam’s Club Discover both at Sam’s Club and everywhere Discover® is accepted. Standard Sam’s Club Advantage and Business Members with a Sam’s Club Discover earn up to one percent cash back.

Sam’s Club Business Members will receive $66 million, up 28 percent over last year’s reward total, and Advantage Members will receive $41 million, up 38 percent over last year. More than 750,000 reward checks will be distributed this month and are funded by GE Money, the issuer of Sam’s Club Discover.

“Our Members see savings at Sam’s Club every day and with this program they get the added benefit of cash back,” said Cindy Davis, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Membership at Sam’s Club. “We are pleased the program is growing and these checks are coming at a welcome time with small business owners and families looking for ways to stretch their dollars.”

The reward checks need to be cashed at a Sam’s Club location and the proceeds may be spent in Sam’s Club or elsewhere, put toward savings or to pay other bills. Annual Sam’s Club membership fees start at $35 for Business and $40 for Advantage with Plus Membership at $100.
