Orchid of India Signs World Safety Declaration

Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, one of India’s top pharmaceutical companies, recently signed the World Safety Declaration -- which was initiated by DuPont at the World Congress in 2005. Orchid became the 47th charter signer, joining leaders across industries throughout the world that are dedicated to improving safety in the workplace.

Signers of the World Safety Declaration have made a public commitment to report their challenges, progress and successes at the 18th World Congress on Safety and Health at Work in Seoul, Korea, in 2008.

“Orchid is a leader in safety and the Indian pharmaceutical industry,” said Jim Weigand, vice president and general manager, DuPont Safety Resources. “Since its inception 14 years ago, Orchid has made safety a core value that is closely linked to business success. We are honored that they have joined this important effort.”
