The McRae Agency Helps Re-Build Hope with So-Cal Fire Poster Project

WEBWIRE

(San Diego, Jan. 30, 2008): The McRae Agency is providing pro bono PR services for the So-Cal Fire Poster Project, a grassroots program aimed at raising much needed funds for recent wildfire victims through inspirational art.

Dozens of prominent artists from around the world are designing and donating original artwork inspired by the fires, which are now available for purchase online (www.reliefposters.com). So far, the Web site offers over 25 visually stunning designs to choose from, with new pieces continually being added to the collection. Notable artists include Paul Frank, Shepard Fairy, Modern Dog and many more. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army’s 2007 California Wildfire Fund.

The So-Cal Fire Poster Project was founded by graphic designer Josh Higgins, after he witnessed the devastation and tragedy that destroyed 1,500 homes and burned through half a million acres in his native Southern California. Higgins modeled the project after the Hurricane Poster Project, which he had participated in after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. To date that project has raised over $60,000 in support of Katrina victims.

”Having The McRae Agency help me with this project will make a huge difference,” said Higgins. “I’m looking forward to seeing the project succeed in large part due to their generous pro bono PR services.”

The McRae Agency team hopes to use its creativity and vast experience to encourage interest and support, both locally and nationally, for a cause that will bring aid to those who need it most.
