Award-Winning Kids’ DVD Goes Behind-the-Scenes at Top Zoos

January 22, 2008, Harrington Park, NJ... Janson Media today announced the release of the DVD, KID GUIDES: ZOOS. Adapted from an award-winning, weekly television series, KID GUIDES follows two kid hosts, Matt and Brittney, as they travel the USA, visiting the best zoos, museums, aquariums, and other family destinations.

In KIDS GUIDES: ZOOS, Matt and Brittney travel to some of the most exciting zoos in the United States. Destinations include the National Zoo in Washington, DC, which houses over 300 species of animals; the St. Louis Zoo in Missouri, where Matt and Brittney learn about the great apes and participate in a Sea Lion show; and the Ft. Worth Zoo in Texas, where they hang around orangutans and participate in a bird of prey training session. Not only do the hosts visit these locations as regular tourists, they also explore behind-the-scenes with interactive experiences. KID GUIDES: ZOOS also includes a special feature, “Best of Kid Guides.”

KID GUIDES is the winner of three Emmy Awards for Excellence in Children’s Programming, a “Seal of Approval” by the Parents Television Council (whose mission is to promote and restore responsibility and decency in the entertainment industry), two Parents’ Choice Awards (2006 & 2007) for Children’s Television, a CINE Golden Eagle for Children’s Television (2006) and World Media Festival Silver Globe (2006), among many other children’s and family entertainment awards.
