Toyota Awards Quarterly Donations

WEBWIRE

Princeton, IN - Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana’s (TMMI) Quarterly Contributions Committee met in June and awarded 43 organizations a total of $124,000.

“On behalf of our 4,700 team members here at TMMI we proud to be able to give back to the community and support programs and projects in Southwestern Indiana, Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois,” said Kelly Dillon, Manager of Public Affairs. “The committee and Public Affairs team are dedicated to thoroughly reviewing and objectively making the final donation recommendations. They have an extremely difficult job every quarter and we appreciate their efforts.”

TMMI’s philanthropy committee meets quarterly and reviews more than 100 applications from various non-profit organizations in the Tri-State. The review committee is made up of 10 team members who represent each area in the plant.

The next quarterly deadline is Feb. 15. If you know an organization that is in need of funding for a program or project, please have the organization complete the TMMI Contribution Application. The application may be requested by e-mailing Public Affairs at TPA@tema.toyota.com or obtained by visiting Toyota.com/tmmi.

TMMI has donated $13.4 million since 1996 to the local community in areas of youth and education, health and human services, diversity, environment, civic and community and arts and culture.
