New Connectivity Tools from Gefen Offer Added Value When Integrating Computer Components and Displays

Las Vegas, NV -- Two new solutions from Gefen are designed with the computer user in mind, offering inventive ways to extend computer peripherals and connect additional displays to the system.

USB to DVI/VGA Adapter
This tiny adapter allows a plug and play connection of a DVI or VGA display to any USB 2.0 port on a laptop or desktop computer. Video is delivered in DVI-I format, compatible with both VGA monitors and DVI displays. It allows users to refine video performance, selecting from a variety of screen resolutions to 1600x1200 and color depths. Users can have the USB connected display mirror the main display or extend the desktop to provide increased visibility. Testing has shown that up to six USB to DVI Graphics Adapters can be connected to any one personal computer at a time with a reliable delivery of video to all six displays.

Wireless USB Extension
USB peripherals can operate up to 100 feet in distance from the computer without cables using the new 4-port Wireless USB Extender from Gefen. This sender/receiver system delivers cable-free USB 2.0 connectivity at speeds averaging 54 mbps and is effective in extending a typical computer’s peripherals such as keyboard/mouse and printer away from the computer. Based on 802.11g technology, the solution works with all cross-platform computer systems including Linux, Mac and Windows PC.
