Long Beach, CA - Two new scaling solutions from Gefen offer a convenient way to access multiple sources from one high definition television display, outputting high definition video up to 1080P for true HDTV performance.

The Gefen Home Theater Scaler supports all home entertainment devices including satellite television set-top boxes, DVD players and gaming consoles. The unit is equipped to handle two HDMI inputs, each with supplemental digital audio and two Component video inputs with separate RCA stereo inputs. Each input is output in the HDMI format with separate audio in S/PDIF format. Video is scalable in all high definition resolutions that are HDCP compliant, allowing different formats to be viewed on any HDMI display.

The Gefen Home Theater Scaler Plus supports one Component input with analog audio, one Composite or S-video input with analog audio, and two HDMI inputs with digital audio. Audio and video are output in the HDMI format with separate audio channeled in S/PDIF format.

Both scalers feature video de-interlacers, frame rate converters and advanced color engine technologies that ensure vivid imagery while digital audio delays synch audio to the video for no timing delays.

Users can select their selections and preferences using on-screen menus controlled by IR remote, and when all four inputs are connected, users can switch between sources for a conveniently integrated system.
