Ashland helps customer achieve EPA environmental award

DUBLIN, Ohio – Achieving recognition for workplace health and environmental stewardship is not easy, but PQ Marine Holdings Inc. was recently honored with a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) award for implementing a program with significant workplace benefits. The company, maker of PowerQuest brand powerboats, received the EPA’s “Design for the Environment” formulator initiative award for successfully implementing a program using U.S. Polychemical Acrastrip® cleaning fluid.

A program designed by Ashland helps customers achieve EPA recognition for their environmental stewardship efforts when they use Acrastrip cleaning fluid. Pete Hoekstra, R-Holland, Mich., presented the award during a ceremony that featured recognition from a number of leading officials.
