EL SEGUNDO, Calif.- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has signed an extension to a global information technology (IT) applications management services agreement with Sun Microsystems Inc.

Under the five-year agreement, CSC will continue to provide all applications development and support services for Sun’s business applications portfolios – including finance, manufacturing, messaging, enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management, data warehousing and other general technology software – in the U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific. CSC will also manage Sun’s new Oracle 11i ERP systems. “We are pleased to extend our agreement with Sun,” said CSC Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Laphen. “Our broad experience in global enterprise applications integration and maintenance positions us to continue delivering results that will help Sun achieve its business goals.”

“CSC has been a trusted provider in meeting our requirements for application development and maintenance,” said Bob Worrall, senior vice president and chief information officer of Sun Microsystems. “The cost savings achieved thus far, the quality of service delivery and the flexibility that CSC has demonstrated were key drivers for this scope expansion and contract extension.”
