DuPont Traffic Safety a Role Model in China
A team of Chinese government officials from the Jiangsu province transportation bureau, safety inspection department, public security bureau, education department and the public promotion board, recently visited the DuPont Xingda Filaments site in Wuxi to learn about the site’s driving and riding best practices.
During the visit, Thierry Marin, CEO of the DuPont Filaments joint venture, shared the company’s core values as well as the success story of achieving more than two years without any driving-related injuries. “It is very rewarding to be identified as a role model in traffic safety, help improve traffic safety and reduce the number of accidents,” Thierry said.
“We have been successful in integrating DuPont’s core values, especially safety, in our operations,” said John Little , vice president of Operations, DuPont Performance Materials.
The site was recognized as an “Exemplary Traffic Safety” work unit in 2006 by the Wuxi city Huishan district traffic police department.
