Vip and RIM Introduce BlackBerry for Serbia

Belgrade, Serbia and Waterloo, ON - Vip mobile, a member of mobilkom austria group and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced availability of the BlackBerry® solution from Vodafone in Serbia. The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and services to allow easy access to email, phone, calendar, web, multimedia and other applications on the go.

This is the first product announcement from Vip that stems from its newly launched strategic partnership with Vodafone in Serbia. At launch, Vip will offer customers BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and BlackBerry® Internet Service with a choice of the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8310 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8100 smartphones.

The BlackBerry Curve 8310:
With its stylish design, large display, easy-to-use full QWERTY keyboard and intuitive trackball navigation system, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone looks as great as it performs. It offers a range of advanced multimedia features – including built-in GPS, the ability to create MP3 music files from CDs, create play lists and automatically convert pictures, music and videos from a PC for playback on the smartphone-- together with all the renowned communications features that have won praise for BlackBerry smartphones around the world. It also comes with a 2 megapixel camera, complete with 5x digital zoom, built-in flash, self-portrait mirror and full screen viewfinder. Photos can be saved on the smartphone, which includes an expandable memory slot for additional storage, or shared easily and instantly by email, MMS or Instant Messaging. Photos can also be transferred over Bluetooth® or USB cable.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8100:
The BlackBerry Pearl is the smallest BlackBerry smartphone available measuring a mere 4.2” (107mm) x 1.97” (50mm) x .57” (14.5mm) and weighing just 3.1 ounces (89 grams). In addition to supporting phone, email, messaging, organizer, web browser and other mobile applications, the BlackBerry Pearl incorporates a digital camera, media player for music and videos and an expandable memory slot.

Vip will offer BlackBerry Enterprise Server for larger enterprises and BlackBerry Internet Service for individuals and smaller companies.

The BlackBerry Solution:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server tightly integrates with IBM® Lotus® Domino®, Microsoft® Exchange and Novell® GroupWise® to provide secure push-based wireless access to email and other corporate data. The solution uses advanced encryption and IT policy controls, and is widely accredited for its enterprise security features.

For individuals and smaller businesses, BlackBerry® Internet Service allows customers to access up to ten supported POP3 or IMAP4 accounts, including most popular ISP accounts such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail, from a single device.
