WEBWIRE

On-demand collaboration applications and services leader WebEx, now part of Cisco®, and Jamcracker, an on-demand services delivery company, today announced that they are working together to allow service providers to offer WebEx WebOffice through the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN). WebEx WebOffice improves team productivity with hosted e-mail, access to web meetings, document sharing, group calendaring, task management, threaded discussions, and a powerful database with multiple templates.

By offering WebEx WebOffice on Jamcracker JSDN, information technology (IT) service providers will be able to resell the WebEx WebOffice to their network of customers. Service providers can also bundle other collaborative communications and IT services available through the JSDN with WebEx WebOffice, such as GoodLink wireless messaging and McAfee security.

“Jamcracker helps enable service providers to offer a full range of on-demand solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, which is a valuable distribution channel for us,” said Gary Reznick, senior director, alliances, Cisco WebEx. “By making WebEx WebOffice available through the hundreds of Jamcracker distributors, we can reach customers at every stage of their business’ lifecycle.”

WebEx WebOffice is designed to help employees work effectively with co-workers online, regardless of physical location, and to provide web-based business applications that make collaboration simple and cost-effective. The solution integrates both real-time and asynchronous collaboration capabilities into one unified solution to help businesses increase productivity, coordination and communications with colleagues, customers and partners. By combining collaboration capabilities such as document sharing, calendaring and real-time web meetings into an easy-to-use suite, WebEx WebOffice allows businesses to be more integrated, efficient and nimble, and ultimately more competitive.

“WebEx WebOffice combines an integrated set of collaboration tools that help businesses boost productivity and competitiveness,” said Steve Crawford, vice president of marketing for Jamcracker. “The addition of WebEx WebOffice to the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network catalog allows service providers to package a broad set of on-demand communication, collaboration and security applications for their customers.”
