VIA Trains Operating Normally Despite Snowstorm in Québec and Ontario

WEBWIRE

Montréal - Despite the heavy snowfall in Ontario and Québec, VIA Rail wishes to advise travellers that all trains are operating normally throughout the region. VIA operates some 60 trains per day throughout the Windsor-Quebec City Corridor.

Although the heavy snowfall may cause minor delays on some trains, none have been canceled.

As weather conditions worsen, many VIA trains are beginning to get closer to a sold out situation. VIA has added cars to accommodate the demand but customers are advised to call ahead to be certain of available space.

To book, customers can call 1-888-VIA Rail, (842-7245), TTY 1-800 268-9503 (hearing impaired). Tickets are also available at kiosks in major Corridor stations, online at viarail.ca, or through their travel agent.

VIA offers a stress-free, safe and comfortable winter travel alternative. For a complete listing of train departures, station and on-board services as well as fare plans, visit viarail.ca
