It all began in 1957, when Bendix Electrical Components (since acquired by Amphenol) named Avnet Electronics Supply Co. (now Avnet Electronics Marketing) an authorized factory jobber and assembler of its electrical connectors. This marked the beginning of Avnet’s first and longest running franchised relationship.



Half a century later, Amphenol Corporation has become one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world - Avnet one of the largest distributors of electronic components, computer products and technology services and solutions.



Together, Avnet and Amphenol provide the industry with an array of choices for design technology, demand creation and fulfillment value - Amphenol engineers and manufactures products in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and Avnet Electronics Marketing sells them around the globe.
