China’s Real Kungfu Fast-Food Chain Selects NCR for Point-of-Sale Technology and Services

BEIJING – Real Kungfu, a leading Chinese fast-food chain with plans to expand globally, has selected NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) to provide point-of-sale (POS) technology and services.

Known for its menu of steamed Chinese-style food, Real Kungfu currently operates more than 200 stores across China. The chain’s growth plans include reaching a thousand stores by 2010 and expanding into markets outside China.

Under a three-year agreement, Real Kungfu will purchase 4,000 NCR RealPOS™ 21 POS terminals, which will be deployed either in new stores or to replace current systems in existing stores. NCR will also provide services, including store technology rollout management, installation of the NCR POS terminals along with servers and networking equipment, and ongoing customer support maintenance.
