Patrick E. Lupinetti To Join First Databank As Vice President And Editorial Director, Government And Pricing Services
First DataBank today announced that Patrick E. Lupinetti will join the company on January 8, 2008 as Vice President and Editorial Director, Government and Pricing Services. Lupinetti currently serves as Director of the Special Projects Unit, Medical Fraud Control, of the Office of the New York State Attorney General. Lupinetti will be based in the company’s corporate headquarters in San Bruno, California.
In this newly-created role, Lupinetti will have responsibility for the publishing of all First DataBank current and new forms of data and information related to drug pricing and for overseeing and enhancing the company’s customer and supplier relationships with various Federal government agencies and respective State Medicaid programs.

Prior to joining First DataBank, Mr. Lupinetti served for 21 years in the Office of the New York State Attorney General. In the last decade he directed the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit where he planned and supervised numerous fraud and abuse investigations involving personal care providers, hospitals and nursing homes. In this role, Lupinetti, joining with other Attorney Generals, also participated in and directed investigations related to national drug pricing issues.
Lupinetti is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Law in New York City and was admitted to the New York State Bar in February, 1980. He received a B.A. degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia where he graduated magna cum laude, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Rhodes Scholar Finalist.
