imilac® Advance® and Similac® Isomil® Advance® Formulas Now Available in Nipple-Ready 8-Fluid-Ounce Bottles

According to a recent national survey1 of new moms commissioned by Abbott’s Similac brand, packing the diaper bag before leaving home with a baby takes close to 30 minutes. Nearly all moms surveyed (98 percent) agree that convenience is their top consideration when choosing products for themselves and their babies. One-third of moms surveyed said the one thing they never leave the house without is baby formula.

To help busy parents save time on the go, Abbott is introducing its two most popular baby formulas — Similac® Advance® and Similac® Isomil® Advance® — in new 8-fluid- ounce Ready To Feed bottles that require no mixing, measuring or preparation. These new size bottles have all the same trusted nutritional benefits as Similac Advance and Similac Isomil Advance, including DHA and ARA to help baby’s brain and eye development.

“Our new Ready To Feed bottles offer the most convenient way to ensure your baby gets the nutrition he needs, especially when you’re not at home,” said Rhonda Hoffman, senior brand manager for Similac, Abbott Nutrition. “Abbott is pleased to offer this new feeding option to help moms give their babies a strong start in life.”

The only nipple-ready, reclosable plastic bottles, Similac 8-fluid-ounce bottles come in a handy six-pack and are ideal for holiday travel or late-night feeding. Mom just shakes the bottle, twists off the cap, and twists on any standard nipple and ring. No other infant formula is so convenient.

Of the more than 850 moms surveyed, more than 70 percent of moms surveyed said that they make extra preparations for feeding when traveling long distances, running errands, on vacation, or when their baby is in another person’s care.

Other survey results include:

* Nearly half said they have found it challenging to mix and prepare formula when feeding their baby away from home.
* Almost 40 percent of moms said keeping formula refrigerated is an obstacle when feeding on the go.
* 60 percent said that if they had an extra 30 minutes each day, they’d spend this time on themselves — taking a nap, working out, pampering, watching television or shopping.

Similac Advance and Similac Isomil Advance 8-fluid-ounces Ready To Feed bottles are available at most major retailers nationwide, with a suggested retail price of $9.99 for a 6-pack of bottles.
