Hussmann Launches “Always*Green” Website to Help Retail Customers Become Environmentally Sustainable
BRIDGETON, Missouri (December 10, 2007) - In a bid to help retail customers become environmentally friendly, Hussmann launched its “Always*Green” website, loaded with solutions, practical tips and ideas for retailers who want to lessen their impact on the environment. Here customers can find a wide range of information on sustainability, including an interactive calculator that shows environmental and financial benefits of various green technologies.
Praveen Reddy, Vice President of Marketing at Hussmann said, “Customers tell us they want to become more environmentally friendly, but they don’t always find it easy to know which choices to make or how to evaluate the financial payback.”
Through the “Always*Green” website, a retail customer can go to the calculation tool and interactively input basic store information. The tool will suggest the best green solutions and list both financial and environmental results.
Over the past 10 years Hussmann has dedicated resources to developing new products that cut greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy use, in some products by over 20%. To continue this effort, Hussmann recently rolled out a sustainability program called Hussmann Always*Green, indicating that we have been and will continue to be “Always Working to Protect the Environment.”
Always*Green has three objectives:
· First, Hussmann is creating a “culture of green” within its organization to leverage ongoing sustainability improvements.
· Second, the company is partnering with customers to help them achieve their environmental goals while helping them reduce annual energy costs by up to $115,000 per store.
· Third, Hussmann is redoubling efforts to develop new products that will have a significant impact in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
