New Solution Delivers ITIL Best Practices Library
To CA Service Management Customers.

ISLANDIA, N.Y., AND MONTREAL, November 9, 2005 – Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) and Nexio Technologies today announced CANEXION, a new best practices library that provides ITIL processes and implementation procedures mapped to CA Service Management products.

By easing the implementation of proven service management best practices, CANEXION, enables CA customers to optimize the productivity of their IT organizations and improve the alignment of IT investments with business priorities. It is based on industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, CobiT and BS15000.

The CANEXION Best Practices Library was jointly developed by CA Technology Services and Nexio and is available free at http://supportconnect.ca.com. Nexio is a strategic augmentation services partner to CA Technology Services, and CANEXION is the result of aligning ITIL best practices with the practical implementation experience gained through this partnership. CA is planning to localize content in other languages to keep customers current with ongoing changes in relevant industry standards. Implementation services and enhanced versions of the best practices library also are available.

“As organizations face greater pressure to use technology more effectively and comply more stringently with a growing body of regulations, the benefits of implementing standards such as ITIL are becoming more and more attractive,” said Lokesh Jindal, vice president of CA’s Business Service Optimization unit. “CANEXION makes it easier for customers to reap these benefits by providing best-in-class content and step-by-step instructions for tackling these complex challenges.”

“Compliance isn’t a destination — it’s a constant process that has to be embedded into IT’s day-to-day processes,” said Martial Rivard, president of Nexio Technologies. “Through CANEXION, IT organizations can bring order and visibility to their ongoing service management efforts so that they achieve concrete results without putting an undue strain on their staffs and budgets.”

“ITIL best practices and Nexio’s process expertise have helped us deliver optimum system performance both from an availability and performance perspective, while allowing us to operate at the lowest cost and deliver quality to our customers,” said Eric Carleton, director, Enterprise Systems Infrastructure / Operations at Domtar, a leading manufacturer of business papers, commercial printing and publication, technical and specialty papers.
