WEBWIRE

samuelbressi productions, today announced the release of TagManage 2007, a social bookmarking and blogging application developed specifically for small- and medium-sized businesses. Installing TagManage on your organization’s intranet gives users the ability to bookmark their favorite and most-frequently visited websites and publish blog entries.

“TagManage is built upon four basic, fundamental principles: bookmark, blog, tag, and share,” said Samuel Bressi, founder of samuelbressi productions, “Users can apply tags to bookmarks, blogs, and even other users, creating a social mesh of shared resources.”

In addition to being public and private, bookmarks and blog entries can be shared with -- or hidden from -- specific users based on tags applied to those users. Users are not burdened with having to title and describe webpages they bookmark. This information is automatically gathered from the bookmarked website.

Licensing for TagManage is simple. Customers are not required to pay pesky per-user or per-server fees. There is one flat fee for the application and a recurring yearly fee for software support and maintenance. Furthermore, TagManage is commercial open-source software. Once purchased, the customer is given the source code to modify in any way that meets their enterprise’s needs.

samuelbressi productions is a startup software development company based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Information about TagManage 2007 is available on the Web at www.buytagmanage.com.
