Eurotrotter extends to worldwide coverage

Zeist, Netherlands, November 6, 2005. The oldest European travel portal Eurotrotter, also known as www.trotty.com extends its coverage to all 5 continents by adding 4 new “trotters” to the Internet, being Americatrotter, Asiatrotter, Africatrotter and Australiatrotter.
The company name will be changed in Worldtrotter, being the umbrella of the 5 websites now.

The new step was made because of the many requests of the portals visitors that do not want to be limited to Europe. The typical visitor of Eurotrotter is high educated and quite independent in travelling and holidays. Most of its web visitors today are coming from the major European countries as well as from the United States.

Eurotrotter was originally started by 4 Dutch brothers building an Internet database of 3000 selected travel related sites in Europe. Since its start in 1999 it has seen many new sites coming and disappearing. Only 1400 of the original listed sites still exist and every day new websites are presented. With the expansion to other continents over 6500 new sites are added now giving a wealth of new travel opportunities. All 5 sites are now operating in 8 languages and covering 40 travel categories, from trains to hotels and local tourist guides. Also sport-sites are well represented especially ski, golf and water-sports.
