Juniper Networks Appoints Mary Cranston to its Board of Directors

The Firm Senior Partner and immediate past-Chair of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Ms. Cranston brings more than 30 years of management and corporate governance experience to the board.

Ms. Cranston has held many management roles for Pillsbury Winthrop, including Chairperson from 1999 until December 2006; Chair of the Litigation Department; and a member of the firm’s Compensation Committee, Professional Recruitment Committee, Finance Committee, Legal Education Committee, Partnership Selection Committee, Communications Committee, and Marketing and Client Service Committee. Her expertise in complex class action, antitrust, telecommunications and securities law was recognized by the National Law Journal, in 2000, when it named her one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America.” She has also received recognition for her focus on the leadership development of women, receiving the Athena Award for professional accomplishments and community service in 2004 and the Margaret Brent Award–one of the highest awards given by the American Bar Association in recognition of accomplishments of women lawyers who have excelled in their field and paved the way for other women lawyers–in 2005.Ms. Cranston is on the corporate boards of Visa, Inc. and GraphTech International and is a director of the Bay Area Council, the Commonwealth Club, Catalyst, Yosemite Fund, and the San Francisco Museum of Women. She is also a trustee of the San Francisco Ballet and Stanford University.
