NBC Texas Affiliate WOAI-TV Transforms Graphics Workflow With Chyron

Melville, NY - Chyron Corporation (AMEX: CGS) has today announcing that WOAI-TV, San Antonio’s NBC affiliate, has upgraded its existing Chyron iNFiNiT! character generator with a HyperX graphics system driven by Chyron’s breakthrough interFuse™ Technology: Lyric PRO; CAMIO newsroom integration and asset management system; and iSQ remote monitoring and playout application.

The Texas-based network broadcasts news, sports, weather, traffic and an hour-long magazine-style, SA Living. The new Chyron systems, which will go on air for the first time later this year, will be based in the live control room. The CAMIO graphic management architecture will be integrated with WOAI-TV’s Avid® iNews® newsroom computer system, enabling journalists to remotely browse templates, edit text and replace images and movie files, preview their graphics and insert them into stories directly from their desktops.

Network producers and reporters will be able to visualize their supers, reducing the workload on WOAI-TV’s graphic operator. iSQ will allow control of independent output channels across multiple devices of MOS-generated playlists, with the ability to play out any message, on any playlist, at any time.
