The Estonian financial daily Äripäev launched Meditsiiniuudised, a newspaper covering medical news, in the beginning of November.
“Äripäev acquired Meditsiiniuudised in October in order to fully realize the potential it sees in the field, believing strongly that a high-quality specialized newspaper can enhance the transparency of the medical and pharmaceutical market”, says Project Manager Liina Leiten.

In the beginning of February the paper will go through a total refresh. At present, Meditsiiniuudised is a small and successful publication with 1,700 subscribers and a target audience made up mostly by doctors, pharmacists and chemists.

Similar newspapers are published by the Bonnier Group in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Poland. The newly acquired paper will be a part of this network.
