All Star Laboratory Team Joins EMSL Analytical, Inc.

IAQ & environmental laboratory adds four senior Ph.D. scientists.

EMSL Analytical, a leading provider of advanced environmental laboratory services and products, recently added four veteran Ph.D. scientists to their team. The all star team of professionals brings years of experience in industry and academia to the resources of EMSL and their clients.

The newest addition to the team is Dr. Dennis Kinney who earned his Ph.D. in microbiology, M.S. in microbiology and immunology and bachelor’s degree in biology. He will be working as the new Microbiology Laboratory Manager and Bacteriologist.

Also joining the team in Westmont is the new PCR Laboratory Director, Dr. Charlie Li. Dr. Li earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology, M.S. in plant pathology, and bachelor’s in plant protection.

Dr. Mikhail Sogonov, got his Ph.D. in mycology along with a specialization in systematics, taxonomy, and soil mycobiota. Dr. Sogonov is a Mycologist based at corporate headquarters.

Finally Dr. Tao Zhang is a Senior Chemist working with the industrial hygiene, chemistry, and materials science divisions. Dr. Zhang earned his Ph.D. in physical chemistry, and his M.S. and B.S in analytical chemistry.

“These highly trained and experienced additions to EMSL will help solidify our role as leaders in current markets as well as help expansion into new testing fields in the coming months and years,” reported Jason Dobranic, Ph.D., National Director of Microbiology at EMSL Analytical.

Along with adding additional expertise to the company’s almost 500 employees, EMSL has been rapidly expanded their analytical services and environmental product offerings during the last year. The company has recently opened new facilities in Florida and Arizona and additional locations will soon be announced.
