Cisco Systems CEO John Chambers To Deliver Keynote Address At The 2008 CES Leaders In Technology Dinner

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today announced that Cisco Systems Chairman and CEO John Chambers will deliver a keynote address at the Leaders in Technology Dinner, to be held at the 2008 International CES. Produced by CEA, the 2008 International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, will return to Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2008.

Chambers’ address will kick off the annual Leaders in Technology Dinner, honoring the top policymakers instrumental in furthering technology innovation. The dinner is slated for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, at The Venetian.

John Chambers was named CEO of Cisco Systems in 1995 and chairman of the board in 2006. Under his leadership, the company has grown it revenues from $1.2 billion to approximately $35 billion. Through its ground-breaking innovations in advanced networking technologies and the acquisitions of Linksys and Scientific Atlanta, Cisco continues to help shape and build today’s connected life.

Prior to joining Cisco, Chambers spent eight years at Wang Laboratories and six years at IBM.
