Intuit Appoints Neil Williams Chief Financial Officer

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.– Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) has named R. Neil Williams, 54, as its new chief financial officer and senior vice president effective January 2008. Williams will report to Brad Smith, who will become president and chief executive officer of Intuit in January.

Williams succeeds Kiran Patel, who in June was named general manager and senior vice president for the company’s industry-leading consumer tax business, and its flagship product, TurboTax.

“A seasoned financial executive, Neil offers a proven blend of strategic, operational and transactional experience,” said Smith. “Neil understands the drivers of the business, how to improve shareholder value and brings a successful track record of leading and transforming organizations. We look forward to his leadership as we take Intuit into our next phase of growth.”

Williams was most recently the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Visa U.S.A., Inc., the leading payments company in the U.S. In his role, he reported to Visa’s chief executive officer and led all financial functions for the company and its subsidiaries. Williams also held the dual role of chief financial officer for Inovant LLC, Visa’s global IT organization responsible for global transactions processing and technology development.

Before joining Visa U.S.A Inc, Williams spent his career in the financial services space. Williams received a B.S. in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a certified public accountant.
