Dominiek Vandierendonck Named Sales Center Vice President for Benelux Region

San Antonio, Texas.-Brussels, Belgium — AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced a number of appointments to strengthen operations in the Benelux region. Fabrice De Windt (32) has been appointed as country manager and director of Sales for the Netherlands. Hans Descamps (44) will lead the sales team in Belgium and Luxemburg and has also been appointed as Belgium country manager. Both report to Dominiek Vandierendonck (44), who was appointed earlier this year as Benelux sales center vice president.

De Windt, based in The Hague, joined AT&T in 2001 and has held various sales positions within the company. He was most recently director of Sales for Belgium and Luxemburg and built a track record in selling global telecom solutions to multinational companies.

“I am delighted to assume this new responsibility,” said De Windt. “In Belgium, we were able to grow our market share significantly in the past couple of years, and it is my intention to achieve similar results in the Netherlands.”

In Belgium, Descamps replaces De Windt as sales leader. In addition to assuming the director of Sales role, Descamps has also been appointed as country manager for Belgium and Luxemburg and is based in Brussels. Before this appointment, he held a senior management position in AT&T’s pre-sales organization. Descamps brings more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications to his new role.

“Fabrice De Windt did an excellent job here, and I am really looking forward to continuing and expanding the business in this region,” said Descamps. “The market in Belgium and Luxemburg is dynamic with many multinationals locating their European or global headquarters here. AT&T has the resources and commitment to serve their needs, and I’m convinced that there are still many opportunities for growth.”

In their new positions, Descamps and De Windt will primarily focus on sales activities and the growth of AT&T in the Benelux region. Both will report to Vandierendonck, who has assumed the role of Benelux sales center vice president. Vandierendonck has more than 20 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications service business and has held several senior management positions within AT&T at country, regional and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) levels since he joined AT&T in 1999.

“Having had the opportunity to perform a series of different roles in the company during the past couple of years, I feel great to be back in sales,” said Vandierendonck. “I relish this new challenge and look forward to ensuring that AT&T gets in a leading position as the provider of choice for the multinationals based in the Benelux area.”

Vandierendonck reports to Tom Regent, who leads the company’s EMEA operations.

Benelux is a key market for AT&T because of the presence of numerous European headquarters for multinational companies in both Belgium and the Netherlands.
