Citibank Hungary Launches Unique Photo Embossed Debit Card

Enhanced Security for Customers When Using Their Debit Cards

Budapest – Citibank Zrt. Hungary’s customers can now enjoy more security with their debit cards as the result of introducing the MasterCard Photo Embossed Debit Card, featuring the photo of the cardholder. Inclusion of the photo on the embossed debit card makes this product unique on the Hungarian market as well as within the European Union countries. The cards are linked to all six current account fee packages offered by Citibank Hungary and not only new customers but also existing customers can apply for this unique bank card.

The new embossed debit card with enhanced security offers several value added benefits to the customers, including payment through the internet, using the card for hotel bookings, car rentals or air ticket reservations. CitiGold customers through their Gold MasterCard embossed debit card may also enjoy a free Travel Insurance offered by AIG Europe S. A. Hungarian Branch, the partner insurance company of Citibank.

Customers of TOP and VIP current account fee packages may use their Blue cards with no annual fee, in all other fee packages the annual fee for the Blue cards is HUF 1,200, while for the Gold cards is HUF 4,900.
