U.S. DOJ Concludes PFOA Investigation

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has informed DuPont that it has completed its 2½ year review “of information made available to us relevant to DuPont’s research into and use of perfluorooctanoic acid at its Washington Works (W.Va.) facility and we will not be pursuing criminal charges at this time.”

According to Stacey Mobley, DuPont senior vice president and general counsel, “We were fully responsive to the DOJ’s investigation. Their decision supports our position that DuPont acted responsibly in this matter. Consistent with our core values, DuPont remains committed to operate to the highest standards of ethical behavior and environmental responsibility.”
