Mobilitie Adopts Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to Drive Rapid Growth

Oracle today announced that Mobilitie Partners LLC, a fast-growing, innovative mobile communications asset management company, has deployed Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to help manage its complex business and drive rapid growth.

The three-and-a-half-year-old company, founded by a former Deloitte & Touche USA LLP executive, is re-inventing the way telecommunications assets -- specifically communications towers and antennae -- are managed for wireless providers. In managing a complex, ever-changing infrastructure for customers such as T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint, Mobilitie has to contend with a complicated mix of towers, ground leases, government licenses and rights of way. Mobilitie’s approach to wireless infrastructure management is non-traditional, as the company has adapted the model and techniques of real-estate investment trusts. This approach is designed to create greater shareholder value and to lower costs and management headaches for customers.

Prior to investing in Oracle(r) Applications, Mobilitie was relying on a disparate legacy environment that was cumbersome and unreliable. The company decided to implement Oracle Applications based upon Oracle’s success in the real estate industry, ability to provide a standardized deployment and a rapid implementation. MASYC Group Inc., a Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, helped Mobilitie deploy the solution in two months.

“When we looked at competing solutions from SAP and other vendors, we realized they didn’t deliver the broad range of industry capabilities and asset management functionality that JD Edwards offers,” said Mobilitie Chief Executive Officer Gary Jabara. “We are a growing company and JD Edwards equips us with affordable, enterprise-level functionality so that we can manage the intricacies of the strategic relationships we maintain with our multinational telecommunication customers - our most valuable asset.”

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne reduces the complexities not only of managing thousands of Mobilitie’s assets and millions of documents, but it also supports the company’s underlying business processes. Relying on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, in combination with Oracle Universal Content Management, Mobilitie now has the scalability to quickly grow its business. Mobilitie views Oracle as a key part of integrating what it projects will be a $1 billion business through organic growth by the end of 2007.

“We wanted to show the market and investors that we’re serious about achieving our growth goals and so we deployed a tier one ERP system,” said Jabara. “Our decision to rely on JD Edwards has delivered incalculable value to our customers and is a significant differentiator for Mobilitie. For our business longevity, JD Edwards was an investment decision we couldn’t afford not to make.”
